The short version

Padd is a Windows app and a phone web app. Your notes, calendar and files are stored in your own Google Drive. Padd does not run servers that store or read them.

What Padd accesses

When you sign in with Google, Padd requests the drive.file permission. It lets Padd create and open only the files and folders it creates in your Google Drive. Padd cannot see your other Drive files, Gmail or Google Photos. On your PC, Padd reads only the files you choose to shelve.

How your data is used

Google user data is used only to provide the features you ask for: notes, calendar, alarms, and shelving, viewing and unshelving files. On your PC, sign-in tokens and the file index stay on the PC. On your phone, your sign-in is kept in an encrypted cookie in your browser. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone.

Phone alarms

So alarms can ring on your phone while Padd is closed, our notification service receives only the alarm time and a generic title. The alarm text stays in your Drive and is shown when you open the notification.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Padd's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your choices

You can disconnect Padd at any time from your Google Account permissions and delete the Padd folder from your Drive. Uninstalling the app removes its local data.
